I am a percussionist and educator from Kennewick, Washington, with a diverse and dynamic professional background. A licensed K–12 educator, I have developed innovative curricula and programs for organizations including Hastings College, Utah Valley University, the Utah Percussive Arts Society, the Skaggs Catholic Center, and the Utah Music Educators Association. Teaching has been my first and lifelong passion, and I’m dedicated to helping students discover their own artistic voice.
As a performer, I’ve shared my music across Western Europe, Ghana, and Brazil, and have performed with ensembles such as the Hastings, Utah, and Mid-Columbia Symphonies, the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, and Salty Cricket Composer’s Collective. My solo and chamber performances have taken me to venues across the United States, including the University of Florida, Tippet Rise Arts Center, the Cathedral of the Madeleine, and The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. I’ve also worked extensively with drum corps and marching bands nationwide.
I enjoy combining my love of percussion and lifelong learning through presentations and research, which I’ve shared at events hosted by Florida Atlantic University, Saint Petersburg College, the Utah Music Educators Conference, and the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City Professional Educators Conference.
I currently serve as Director of Percussion and Assistant Professor of Music at Southern Utah University, where I help students pursue both professional excellence and personal growth—whatever that looks like for them.
